Roughly translated, Yoga means to yoke, or to join. The aim of yoga is to reduce suffering in our lives through moral principles and right practice. Some of the practices include physical postures, mindful breathing, and meditation. Physically, Yoga helps reduce stress, lower blood pressure, improve heart function, and calm body, mind, and spirit. Yoga therapy (YT) is much different from a typical group yoga class in that the therapist takes the time to really work with the individual. YT is designed to work with numerous physical, mental and emotional conditions, and my goal is to help empower you towards your goals through the tools of yoga.
